LocationCincinnati, Ohio, United States
IntroductionWe are a family that loves God and seeks to serve Him radically with their whole hearts, lives and strength. This commitment has led to our willingness to follow God's directive and Jesus' heart, to care for the poor, wounded and needy, especially the orphans... and one orphan in particular. We welcome into our hearts and home little Daniel Aiden, a toddler from Kazakhstan, as soon as we can get him here! Contact us! aljogruber@hotmail.com We'd love to hear from you!
InterestsMy counseling practice: http://www.TransitionLifeCounseling.com. We also have an active interes in reaching out to the poor and hurting of Cincinnati, to see the Holy Spirit bring their spirit alive as they are born again, and heal their body and soul, setting them free from whatever bondages the enemy has held them.
Favorite moviesMost recently: We loved he Narnia movies (both the recent Disney/Walden releases and the older Wonderworks), Classics: Random Harvest with Ronald Coleman and Greer Garson, The Four Daughters/Wives/Mothers series, Hello Down There with Tony Randall, High Anxiety with Mel Brooks (you gotta be a mental health pro to get this one), Tucker with Jeff Bridges, and musicals like Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Calamity Jane, and 1776. We also are huge fans of the old Perry Mason TV shows, Murder She Wrote shows, and Jeeves and Wooster. We laugh very hard at The Office (the US version) although there are times we turn it off (when they start getting kinda tacky). Music Videos we have a penchant for include ABBA (yes, I know they are cheezy) and Randy Stonehill's first video from the early 1980's as well as First Love with all the Jesus People who meant so much to us way back when.
Favorite musicStephen Curtis Chapman (of course) "When Love Takes You In" and "What Now" and "All I really Want For Christmas" (songs about the importance of adoption). Also- Current Stuff: nything by The Newsboys, Casting Crowns, and Zoe Girl. Old Stuff: Andre Crouch, Dottie Rambo, The Imperials (like Heed the Call era) and all the Jesus music from the 1970's-80's (2nd Chapter of Acts,Jamie Owens/Collins, Keith Green). DEFINATELY anything that comes out of IHOP and the vintage Vineyard music- so intensely God-focused!
Favorite booksClassic books from the 1800's available from Lamplighter, the "Darkness" books by Peretti, Books by Wendy Alec of GodTV and Mike Bickle of IHOP, faith building teaching materials by Andrew Womack, Creflo Dollar, Joyce Meyer, Ken Copeland and Kenneth Hagin Sr., The very early church writings of The Apostolic Fathers, good grief... we have a library of over 5000 books! I better stop here!
