| Introduction | I was born in Provo, Utah and my Dad was in the US Army until I was 17, so I lived in Germany, Virginia, California, Kansas, and Utah when I was younger. For my senior year of high school, my Dad retired from the military and moved us to the little town of Springville, Utah, where I graduated from high school in 1997. I went to Brigham Young University and majored in International Studies with a minor in Latin American Studies. I took two years off college to live in Ecuador and serve the people there. After graduating from college, I went to Flagstaff, Arizona and earned my Master's Degree in Latin American History in 2005. Since then I've been teaching Social Studies and Spanish in the Phoenix area. I moved to Tucson in July of 2009 to teach Middle School Spanish at the Academy of Tucson Middle School. I have been married for 10 years and I have two children - Jarom and Rebecca, who go to the Academy of Tucson Elementary School. |
