Introduction	My mom was an excellent baker. Our house often smelled of fresh baked goodies. My paternal Grandfather, Silvio, was a renowned chef and my paternal Grandmother, Louise, was the kind of Italian Grandma who would make three or four entrees for a single meal. My cousin Gina inherited the family gift. She both bakes and cooks! Seriously, I've seen her pull off everything from roasting a full pig to baking a traditional Italian crescent cookie. She is amazing. What about me? A few years ago, I would have responded "Don't ask." The thing is my mom, angel that she was, was a nervous cook. She wouldn't let me in the kitchen. Flash forward to today...thanks to my adorable cousin Gina and me watching hours and hours and hours (far more than I care to admit) of Cooking Shows on TV, I can indeed cook. Really...I can!
