About me

Gender Male
Location Atlanta, Georgia, United States
Introduction I started painting in 1991 when my wife gave me a tin of paints and the book “How to Paint Watercolors.” I painted only in watercolors until 1998 when I started with oils, and in 2000 with acrylics. Bright color predominates in my paintings, which reflect on personal experience, social issues, stereotype and bias, faith and religion, family and aging. I am now retired but previously worked as a lawyer as well as an artist and some of my paintings reflect on social justice issues and the court process, and include several large scale “jury” paintings, judge portraits, and a series reflecting on capital punishment. My work styles include figurative, abstract, landscape and portrait. Many of my works on canvas are large, up to 4 feet x 8 feet, with many works on two panels.
