Introduction For many years I wrote for my kids growing up: stories, poems, until they started telling me stories back, and then I embarked on a career of collaboration-- most recently writing WOLF with my 16 year old son Ben. Currently our path has shifted from fiction to theater. After having adapted the first half of WOLF to the stage, and winning the Vermont Playwrights award (see blog), I've returned to writing drama-- my first love in graduate school where I earned an MFA in playwriting. Right now I have three plays out for submission and am working on a fourth with Ben entitled Notes from the Lower East Side. Our fiction projects still haunt me-- and by winter I will return to my copious mental notes, but this summer is all about telling tales through dialogue. (Being a born New YOrker, dialogue is my first passion anyway.) Thanks to the Valley Players for the Award, and to my kids for their ongoing creative input and inspiration!
Interests Ireland, good stories in any form: from Steinbeck to the Jamaican lady on the D train, nature, including human nature, in both rural and urban environments
Favorite Movies anything Irish anything with a well told story; like River Flows North more recently an Unfinished Life
Favorite Music again Irish (and AC/DC who afterall do have Celtic roots)
Favorite Books Steinbeck, Dickens & Twain-- over and over again.

You've broken up with your old band and are about to release your first solo album. Please write the liner notes:

There's no such thing as a "solo" album-- all art is collaborative!
