| Introduction | Gail Brighton (a.k.a.Girlie/Mrs Thistle) Gail has spent her life being a story teller, whether it has been amusing her grade 1 class, encouraging the sport team she was coaching, designing store windows for ladies shops, merchandising her own general store, or managing and greeting in a family practice office. Another constant in her life has been dogs. There was the spaniel given to her brother that she took over, the poodle cross she snuck into her classroom, the springer who smiled, or the gang of Westies and Scotties who sometimes went to work in the medical office. She knows dogs, loves, and understands them. When given a proposal of marriage, she gave a condition; Marry me , marry my dog too! Now retired on the west coast of British Columbia with her Scottie and Westie puppy, she enjoys writing stories for children, observing the wonders of the ocean, puttering in the garden, adventures of life, and most of all, time spent with friends. |
