| Introduction | I spent the first 15 year of my life without setting foot on an airplane. But with one flight I was instantly hooked, and filled with wanderlust. Since that first flight I have been fortunate enough to visit distant parts of the world. I have waded in water of the east and west shores of both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. I almost drowned in the Indian Ocean when my Aussie friends tried to teach me to surf; then I sat on the beach and watched the Sunset, just thankful to be alive. I've seen the sunrise in Las Vegas and then went to bed, just thankful to be alive. I've seen the southern cross in the Outback. I cried when I walked through the American cemetery in Normandy. I've eaten amazing food, and things I hope to never smell again. I've skied perfect powder in the Colorado Rockies and I've laid on the powder white beaches of the Caribbean. I've spent the better part of a decade in the travel industry, and I've learned the art of globe trotting.
