| Introduction | I am a retired teacher, enjoying activities such as reading, writing, quilting, traveling, and learning a language or two. I am also the wife of a retired rocket scientist and the mom of two wonderful adults, both of whom are engineers. I'm even a mother-in-law! In a former life I have been both a classroom teacher and a homeschooler, with 20 years of combined experience teaching levels from preschool to adult ed, and certification in elementary and secondary education. Most recently I worked as a tutor and homeschool consultant. |
Which is easier to make a model airplane out of and why: a banana peel or a wet sock?
A banana peel will dry and be thin and papery, so with some glue and a craft knife you could make a lightweight model out of it. You could also dry the sock, but you'd have to stuff it with something to get it to hold its shape. Or you could starch it heavily and stretch it over a balloon so it would dry stiff and hollow. Each method has its challenges.
