| Introduction | I was born and raised in America. St. Louis is my hometown, though I lived for a number of years in Los Angeles and Las Vegas. The first time I went to Italy was in 1998, but my love affair with Italy began long before. My maternal grandmother's family hailed from Pescara, and the land they left to immigrate to the United States fascinated me always. My first visit there opened my eyes to another culture and way of life. My affair with Italy turned into a full-blown romance in 2008 when I spent two weeks exploring the country with friends, and again when I returned in 2013 and 2018. The romance is a predominantly long-distance one, but I dream of spending more time there someday. This blog is a way to keep my eyes on things that are happening in Italy and share them with you. |
