Introduction	College student born and raised in Texas. I am in school for a bachelors in Education and I hope to some day make it to Japan to teach and also study Chado, Kyudo, and Kimono. I found Shambhala in July of 2010 in search of Kyudo, Japanese archery that is a form of standing meditation, and found myself drawn into the gentle warmth of the people of the Shambhala center as I learned about sitting meditation. Over the months the warmth of the Sanga and the teachers and finding the common sense in the mentions of the Buddha's teaching have made me wonder if Buddhism is the path for me. Even if it turns out it is not, Shambhala meditation is not dependent on being a Buddhist, it is open to everyone and the Sanga is made of people of all faiths and I will continue to practice it and be part of the Sanga.
