| Introduction | I am drawn to the emotions evoked when you look in to the beauty of blooms and the tactile elements of nature. I paint with a focus on the macro image of petals and its bursts of colour - showing the softness or the vibrancy of a petal or leaf. Painting for me can be meditative, relaxing, inspiring and energetic at the same time. My subjects right now are fresh from the garden which is ever changing from season to season and keeps me full of inspiration. I have been a design tragic for most of my life and studied design studies and developed my art in painting workshops but my journey started out being self taught through experimentation, an inner artist's vision, and hands on execution. I have always dreamt of painting full time and find true joy jumping out of bed every single day to open up the studio and produce my work. Tania Lovering |
