About me

Introduction	As one of K's first round of Admission Bloggers, I'd like to introduce myself! I'm a junior interdisciplinary environmental studies major (I applied to have the major approved last year before taking off for China) and my minor is Chinese. I've been taking Chinese since high school, and was so intrigued by it that I always knew I wanted to study abroad there. Now that it's over, I'm looking for summer opportunities in Hong Kong, Beijing, or Xi'an to form the basis for my Senior Individualized Project next year. I've been a tour guide since spring quarter of my first year at K. Last year I was on Student Commission, I was a Peer Leader during orientation, and I lived in the Arts & Community Living Learning House. I hope to be on Student Commission again once I return to campus, and I like the idea of peer leading again next fall. I discovered that I love ballet through my first ever dance class last spring, which I took to fulfill K's PE requirement, but in the spring I plan to take indoor climbing at Climb Kalamazoo to get back in shape after over-indulging in Chinese food and culture last term!
