| Introduction | Dr. Syb is a Vanderbilt educated, Harvard trained, two time Emmy-Award winning television news journalist with nearly twenty years of professional experience. She is currently the Executive Director and an Associate Professor of the New Century Journalism Program at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. Most recently, Dr. Syb was a general assignment reporter at WTVF, the CBS affiliate in Nashville, Tennessee. (Yes, that's the station where Oprah Winfrey began her career.) She is still a freelance reporter there. She has worked behind the scenes at CBS in Nashville, CBS in Chicago and at ABC in Milwaukee. She's held almost every position except photographer and editor. Dr. Syb has an earned doctorate in Higher Education Administration from Vanderbilt University. A master's degree in education in college student personnel from Loyola University of Chicago. And, a bachelor's degree in broadcast and electronic communication from Marquette University. |
