| Introduction | I have done a number of things during my nearly fifty nine years, such as bar work, psychiatric nurse, residential care-worker, office clerk, warehouseman, and finally teacher. I am married to a beautiful and talented woman, and we have two grown-up children. In the US, by the way, they don't like the apparent oxymoron 'grown-up children', and seemingly object on PC grounds to the phrase grown-up. They say I have two "adult offspring", which makes them sound like the spawn of the warlock,kept in a cellar and fed on raw meat and virgins' blood. In fact, I don't keep them in a cellar. They house themselves, and look after their own dietary needs. But they ARE my grown-up children, dammit! |
