| Introduction | Shanon has a B.S. degree in Agriculture from the University of Arizona; her graduate coursework focused on extension education methods. For 12 years she worked for the UofA as an Instructional Specialist teaching undergraduates and had a split appointment with AZ Cooperative Extension. In 1997 she entered the Adult Education field. She designed a money management workshop called Show Me The Money! Shanon dedicates much of her time to helping participants identify reasons for personally sabbatoging their financial livelyhood. She believes the key to being mindful with money is, "to create enthusiasm from within". She does this by helping her participants chart spending and then exposes them to the major issues surrounding financial literacy. With greater awareness, participants improve their mindfulness about money, develop a spending plan, and understand the means to avoid, or reduce, debt. They begin to lose the fear of saving money and devise short and long-term goals. Shanon enjoys helping people find enthusiasm from within for living in the moment, while teaching them to prepare for tomorrow. |
