| Introduction | Diana, along with her three older brothers, Steven, Mark and Jean has Taekwondo in her “blood.” The Lopez Family were the first three siblings in any sport to all win World Championship titles, which they did at the 2005 World Taekwondo Championships in Madrid, Spain. The first family of taekwondo also achieved historic prominence on April 5, 2008 when they became the first family since 1904 to place three siblings on the same U.S. Olympic Team and only the second ever. To top it off the Lopez family will have four in the USA Delegation as Jean is the Head Coach of the 2008 U.S. Olympic Team, a title he also held in 2004. After the Olympics, Diana plans to finish her degree in elementary education and become a kindergarten teacher. |
