| Introduction | In November of 2007, two words attempted to change my world.....breast cancer. I was in my mid-30s, my four boys were under the age of 10. Would I be able to grow old with them and see them develop their God-given personalities and talents? This blog was a wonderful outlet as I walked through my journey with breast cancer from 2007-2010-- sharing my fears, my struggles, my successes, and the occasional chaos that ensues with a house full of boys. Here I am today, over a decade later. My oldest is in his 20s and my youngest is now driving! With treatments long completed, finding my 'new normal.' has been a daily struggle. Getting past the mindset of surviving breast cancer and moving toward the perspective of thriving in this next chapter of my life, is my impetus. I refuse to allow my challenges in life (cancer or otherwise) to steal my joy, and I press forward to live life to the fullest. May the peace of God be my constant companion. I am blessed. I am married to an incredible man; honored to be the mother four boys; fulfilled in my role as a PT working with other cancer survivors. God continues to show me His great faithfulness, morning by morning!! |
