| Introduction | Marcelo Lopes has developed his talents as a professional artist and teacher for over 28 years in his hometown of São Jose do Rio Preto, located in the interior portion of the state of São Paulo, Brasil. In addition to being the founder of the Van Gogh Art Studio and Gallery, Marcelo continues to teach and share the art of painting with his students directly in his studio, and over a larger scale through his weekly program on the local television station. Throughout his career one of the deepest passions of his work has been developing the techniques to help others create art from the process of coping with stress and chronic diseases. Marcelo has been awarded numerous awards and commendations for his works of art in Brasil, and has most recently focused his energies on creating art to showcase the natural beauty and culture of Brasil in hopes of raising awareness and preserving them. |
