Introduction Serious runner since age 34. Member of Namban Rengo, Tokyo's International Running Club.

PBs: 5K: 15:58 (age 39) 10K: 33:32 (age 37; also 33:42 age 40) Half: 1:13:54 (age 41; also 1:21:45 age 59) Full: 2:44:48 (age 37)

I ran marathons between the ages of 35 and 37, gave them up, ran some more in my early 60s, and have given them up again. Too painful (maybe because I tried to run them too fast) and I got tired of all the long training runs, which also put too much stress on the body. So I'm back to tempo and interval training for 10Ks and Halfs, which I enjoy a lot. Winning, or finishing near the top, in my age group is fun too. Hope to run some big races in various countries and crush the competition. :)

Still feeling about 45.....
