| Introduction | When people think of Northamptonshire it’s often not as a centre of gastronomy. However there are many fabulous places to eat, from value for money takeaways and cafes, good local restaurants and pubs to the higher end ‘occasion’ restaurants. There are some fabulous artisan shops around Northampton definitely worth a visit too. So what are we offering? The good, the bad and the in-between of Northampton’s food offerings, plus stuff we love to cook, the things we’ve tried, succeeded, failed at and recipes that defeated us no matter how hard we try. From a decent recovery breakfast to the best place for a post-pub munchie attack whilst weaving your weary way home, we’ll give you the best of local eateries and drinkeries this town has to offer. In essence, this blog is two people’s opinion of places we go and food we love. We’re not chefs, we are however very enthusiastic cooks for whom eating is a pleasure whether we are pushing the boat out for a celebration or cooking a late night snack with the dubious contents of the back of the fridge after a few too many.
