| Introduction | I just joined the Globaloria team as the Special Projects Coordinator this August. I am so excited to be a part of this project. A little bit about myself, I am originally from India, and came to the United States to pursue my education almost 6 years ago. I received my Bachelors from Concord University Athens, West Virginia in Graphic Design, Studio Art and Political Science. Further more I finished my Masters in Community Arts in Baltimore, from Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) As a part of my graduate thesis I created a comic-book style poster series explaining the concept of social marketing. Before I came to the United States to study I was involved with a number of interesting projects which included Junior Summit, Nation 1, TakingITGlobal, International Education and Resource Network. My dream and desires is to use art and design as a tool for social change and community upliftment. One of my dreams in life is to start a design company that would focus on non-profit branding and social marketing. |
