| Introduction | Born and raised mostly in northern California as a 'child of the 60s.' Watched Napa and Sonoma wine country explode in growth over the past 45+ years. In addition to visiting or living in 45 of the 50 United States, I've visited several countries in Asia and the Bordeaux region of France. Retired in 2000 to the 'Heart of North Carolina Wine Country' just as the number of wineries in NC was beginning to expand, much as I'd seen in northern California. I realized the possibilities of winery tourism at a time when many others did not.
