| Introduction | I am an American student who has foregone her pre-medical, biological sciences, and social sciences emp. psychology studies for a year of studying European politics, art history and the language of love! The best of France, fromage and friends*! *Fine wine used to be on the list but I have decided to omit it because 1) I found out that I deplore the taste of alcohol and, more importantly, 2) it doesn't start with fr- like everything else on the list. ******************************************* I'M BACK - not in France, but in Guatemala. Although I failed to keep a consistent blog last time, I am required to do this for my class so I promise it'll be better this time :) These 3 weeks will be spent learning a bit of Spanish and studying the intersections between health, disease, language and culture in Guatemala. Through this blog, I hope to share with you all a little bit about the fun stuff I've been doing but also some of the really important issues we've been learning/discussing/seeing first-hand here in Guatemala. |
