| Introduction | I am a 51 year old "Son of a Son of a Sailor". My grandfather was a Captain in the Merchant Navy My father was a Petty Officer on the HMS Eagle My reasons for telling this is to let you know why I am the way I am. My wife says your a typical "Madden Man" We like to solve problems, we dont get upset, and we love adventure. I was schooled in England at King Edward's School for Boys Bath. Once again the "Stiff Upper Lip" expected of a Public School Boy was beaten into me. My family emigrated to Australia in 1969 when my Dad was part of the design team for a Navy Destroyer. Australia gave me a sense of fairness and irreverance, the notion of Mateship is real. "The typical Australian ... was seldom religious in the sense in which the word was generally used.
