Introduction	I am Sandra and I love growing roses. I adore growing other flowers, herbs, and vegetables, too. I have gardened in 3 different climate zones over the past 35 years. I also have enjoyed, (with my husband of 32 years), growing 2 extraordinarily wonderful daughters. (We also have a terrific son, but when we got him as a son-in-law he was already grown.) We currently live in a little spot in a very windy, dry, dusty, Hot/Cold desert that is the High Colorado Plateau. We have nursed along the tiny piece of it that surrounds our little home, so that we have a quiet, green, sunny bright, peaceful spot, to have our morning coffee, to view out of the windows, and to dream over when the world around us is thick in dust, frozen in mud, and just generally inhospitable. I hope you enjoy sharing our little triumphs and joys through this blog. I am a freelance writer with Demand Media, a large internet publishing company. I enjoy writing gardening articles, addressing gardening basics suggested by reader titles. It's a great part-time job for me; no dress code!
