Introduction	I am a woman, an African-American, a grand-daughter, a daughter, a sister, a lover, a friend, and a poet. I am so many things. I am me. Born in Alexandria, VA I have traveled much of the Eastern United States with my military family. I have been writing for as long as I can remember and have recently begun a quest to become a spoken word artist. My stage name, Noble Mind, comes from a soliloquy in Act 3 Scene 1 of the play "Hamlet" by William Shakespeare. It was learning Shakespeare that inspired me to pick up a pen. Exploring the depth of his work caused me to explore the depth of my own stories, the complexity of my own emotions, and the duality of my own character. I am learning that poetry helped me to find myself but that spoken word is helping me to find my voice. I am forever grateful.
