Introduction	Mako has been loving dance and music since the age of 5, that's when she was living flying back and forth Japan and China; she was taking piano, drum and dance lessons whenever she could. But it was not until 2009 when she discovered traditional jazz music and dancing, the music hit her body and the movement came naturally to her, she is known for her furious energy and contagious happiness when she dances. Her passion lives in live music and authentic jazz dance movements; she continues living as a dance gypsy and dances wherever the inspiring music is played. She is also a co-founder of Vancouver Jazz Dance Festival and a Western Canadian Lindy Hop Champion.
