Introduction | Years ago, If found an old wooden bowl in my mother's attic. She told me that it had belonged to my great-grandmother, and that it was a dough bowl, made in the late 1800's, and used for making bread. I took it home and made my own bread, but I wanted to preserve it. I learned how to be a woodcarver, found wood, and proceeded to carve. My bowls are carved from native woods grown and reclaimed in upper East Tennessee. All are food safe, appropriate for making bread, holding a huge salad, or display. It is my goal to make beautiful heirlooms worthy of being passed from generation to generation, hopefully for over 150 years, as my great-grandmother's bowl has been. |
