| Introduction | I'm a thirty-something, fiction-loving, head-in-the-clouds, former actor training to be a teacher. This blog will record my thoughts on all the books I'm reading and - eventually - all those I've read, at least as far back as I can remember! Here you'll be able to navigate your way through a depository of books both classic and modern, that has enabled me to travel all over the planet and beyond: from the battlefield at Waterloo to an English country house; from the American West to newly independent India; from the varied tropical climes of (Graham) Greeneland to the far reaches of Middle-Earth. Fiction has the potential to teach us more about the world we live in - and about ourselves - than any history book or newspaper. And, of course, it's fun! Read and learn. |
