Introduction I'm Donna, a mom of three, a teacher, and an "adult-onset athlete." I've been running since June 2007. At first I could not run 1/4 mile, but twenty-two months later, I completed my first 26.2. In 2012, I ran my first ultramarathon--a 50K. Running has been a huge blessing in my life. Since 2009, I've been a Road Runners Clubs of America certified running coach helping other runners achieve their goals. Discovering running at age 36 changed my life. Never mind the turtle. Don't you think you're sure to win?

Not so much. "Slow and steady" rarely wins the race.
