Introduction | I am a single Mum with two gorgeous, lively (occasionally riotous!) teenage daughters. I work part-time as a student mentor with disabled students at university. I have spent seven years studying English Literature and Cultural Studies ... a huge passion of mine! |
Interests | I find almost anything interesting! I am an expressive, creative soul and enjoy any form of craft but adore working with clay especially. Reading and writing (anything), long country walks, swimming and anything to do with horses. Cooking and gardening are further outlets for creativity, and also my way of meditating. |
Favorite Movies | Gladiator (visually stunning), I share a love of Bruce Willis films with my eldest daughter (my favourite is probably Armageddon), Matrix (mind-boggling!), Shakespeare films, Joe Versus the Volcano (not as silly as it sounds!) |
Favorite Music | Very eclectic! Current faves include Nelly Furtado, Lily Allen, Newton Faulkner, Snow Patrol, The Hoosiers, all time favourite album Urban myths by The Verve. I love classical, folk, trad jazz, bluegrass, RnB, indie, and random songs such as Don't Worry, Be Happy by Bobby McFerrin! |
Favorite Books | Oh! This is so hard ... Women Who Run with the Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola Estes, The Color Purple by Alice Walker, Mama Day by Gloria Naylor, anything by Jane Austin, The Green Pharmacy by Dr. James A. Duke, A Room of One's Own by Virginia Woolf, Lolita by Vladimir Nabakov, Jane Eyre and Jean Rhys's Wide Sargasso Sea, Homer's The Odyssey, Talking with Kids by Alison Mulvaney, Hens Dancing by Rafaella Barker, The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger, Labyrinth by Kate Moss, Goal Mapping by Brian Mayne, The Barefoot Doctor's Manifesto ... |
