| Introduction | I am an independent historian who writes about everyday people--the ones who truly did the work. Since 2002 I have been researching the CCCs. That has led to the publication of two vintage photos history books, "The Civilian Conservation Corps In and Around the Black Hills," and "Wind Cave National Park--The First 100 Years." Both were published by Arcadia. Each volume contains more than 220 photos that I gathered primarily from private collections.
