Introduction	Howdy y'all, I'm Cake. 38 years old, full time mama, graduate student, second wedding planner. While we've partnered for some time, my beau and Best Playmate Ever, Dr. T and I, must have hit a lull in conversation sometime this summer and decided the luster had worn off the "Domestic Partnership" provision at his company. We decided to make it bona fide. As there had been some 15 years between our first weddings, otherwise known around here as our "Practice Marriages," I initially thought I'd peck around the internet for a bit of pre-planning. It wasn't long before it occured to me that most of these truly brilliant and intoxicating wedding resources had very little to do with Dr. T and I. It's just different the second time around. No one's mama is singing us the blues over the guest list this time but by the same token, no one is paying the bills but us. The budget will be pulled from between the mortgage and school tuitions, the inspiration, vision, decisions will be ours alone and the truest expression of the people we've become since our first "trip" down the aisle. This is our party. Welcome!
