| Introduction | I love life and I love serving my God by serving other people. My official name is James and when I went to college and became a minister, I thought about dropping my nickname. But, once you have a nickname, it stays with you. Here is how I came to be known as "Beaver." When I was born, my dad said, "that boy has fat cheeks like a beaver." I am forty-two and to this very day, my mom and dad have never called me by real name. My grandmother would never call me "Beaver." She had a much better name, "Jim Bob." God Bless our grandmothers. |
