Introduction I plan to retire in June and devote my days to what I like best. I have 10 delightful grandchildren ranging from 20 months to 15 years old and they give me plenty of material for my passion - writing. I have recently had a few physical set backs and I'm starting physical therapy with high hopes that I might be able to hike and play tennis again. My husband (who truly is my best friend) and I love to travel and when we do - we enjoy the up close and personal exploration of our surroundings so it is very important that I recover fully and can get back to our favorite mode of transportation - walking. My favorite place to be is on the beach in the Gulf of Mexico - particularly Navarre Beach but any beach in that area will do.
Interests Grandchildren, Tennis, Hiking, Knitting, Traveling, Watching Tennis, Friends
Favorite Movies I like silly romantic movies. I get enough real life from the news so I like to escape when I watch movies. Mama Mia, The Proposal, French Kiss, any kind of fluff like that and I guess i shouldn't be so truthful but I enjoy watching them over and over - I can't say that about the news!
Favorite Music I like old school. I have a ball when I go to Branson to the old 70's and 80's shows.
Favorite Books I love to read and I think I have only disliked 3 books in my life. One I threw in the trash when I was finished, I was so angry I had wasted my time. In the last few years I have read several incredible memoirs, Audition, Glass Castle, A Lotus Grows in the Mud. All Over but the Shoutin, The Bar, Nelson Mandela's Biography - can't remember the exact title, Open, A Champion's Mind, You Cannot be Serious. Truth truly is stranger than fiction. I have read a couple of novels, that I enjoyed, The Help, Racing in the Rain, Still Alice and a couple books on the afterlife lately. I also am reading several books related to writing. More about those later.

I'm curious if anyone would be interested in a novel I'm writing about woman who get past normal everyday problems to show that sometimes being ordinary is quite extraordinary.
