| Introduction | I have the odd distinction of having grown up on an actual functioning dairy farm in the midwest, but have left that behind to pursue life as a professor in the "big city" (i.e., anyplace with more than 20 people living on less than 100 acres of land). I don't miss farm life very much, although I have retained an odd fondness for overalls. |
