| Introduction | I love New Zealand, it’s in my heart and soul. My grandparents and great grandparents are buried here. I belong nowhere else. So as a craftworker I felt I needed to learn a craft that is only done in NZ. To show respect to the Tangata Whenua I learnt from them the skill of Korowai weaving. I am very grateful to my tutors and fellow weavers at the Papakura Marae for their help and inspiration. I have recently taken up the mantle of teaching weaving as my tutors wanted. So I endeavor to make my tutorials available to any who wish to learn for as little cost as possible. |
