| Introduction | Just before Christmas 2009 I accidentally threw myself down the stairs and broke my leg in two places. Over the next few weeks I made a discovery, that one really can have too much time to read, even if reading is your favourite thing in the world to do. My hubby, in an attempt to slow down my descent into madness, borrowed some talking books from the library for me. As I listened to The Knitting Circle by Ann Hood, I could feel my fingers twitching and I became convinced that I too could knit. I felt as though I had been hypnotised. All that I needed were a couple of needles and some yarn and, as if by magic, I would be able to knit like a pro!! Of course this was nonsense, as I discovered when my husband bought me needles and wool! But my journey into the Wonderful World of Knitting had begun. |
