| Introduction | We took the lemons that life had thrown at us and made some lemonade! Having been "retired" earlier than ever expected, we decided to still pursue our retirement dreams and travel the country in our motorhome. To supplement our income we chose to try workamping as we traveled. Workampers can be anyone, doing any type of temporary work, while living onsite in their RV. Generally, campgrounds are primary sources of positions, employing help during busy seasons to keep the grounds maintained and customers happy. We have been fortunate to find various positions that have enabled us to work and explore different areas of our country. Our travels have taken us from the Mexican border in Texas to the Canadian border in Maine, and from the shores of the Atlantic Ocean in Cape Cod to the shores of the Pacific Ocean in California. We still have Oregon, Washington, and Alaska on our "haven't seen yet" list. Although we hope to see them, we know that if we have to settle down somewhere tomorrow, we already have great memories to re-live while rocking in our chairs on the front porch! |
