| Introduction | After fifty plus years of accumulating knowledge and excess fat around my tummy, I've come to appreciate the simplicity of prayer, going deep on a few things, and working out so that my joints continue to move. These articles are just a few of my meditations and applications to life. I've worked in education, teaching overseas in Japan, fine dining, banking, ministry, mission work, and as a funeral plot salesman (only one month). I've experienced life in all its myriad of forms, thus my prayer is that it will add some depth to my writings. If anything, it makes for a good profile. Socrates or Plato, one of these bald guys, said an unreflected life is not worth living. This is my attempt to suck the marrow out of this gift. Life is too short to spread yourself too thin. It's time to focus and go deep. I pray you will enjoy these reflections birthed in quiet solitude and bustling coffee shops. I like the morning because it represents a fresh start for every human being on this planet. The Bible states, "Weeping may last for the night, but a shout of joy comes in the morning." May each day be a fresh start for you. |
