| Introduction | After a move to Colorado from the Oregon Coast in January 2009, my husband and I spent many hours exploring new roads and small towns. It was on one of those occasions that we happened upon a little stucco house under a canopy of mature trees and hiding behind an overgrown hedge, empty and FOR SALE!. From the first moment I stood in the yard and looked at the peeling paint, cracked stucco and broken windows, I was in love and it haunted me for quite some time. Oh, the things I could do with that house!. Fast forward to February 2010 when by chance my husband found a new job in the same small town as the little house, and it was still FOR SALE!. July 2010 we bought the little house. After 20 some odd years moving around the country with the military I finally have my own home...this is our journey to bring it back to life. |
