| Introduction | My creative genes are handed down from a long line of women from both sides of my family. My grandmother was an avid beader, crocheter and knitter. My mother sewed usually making her own patterns, and best of all taught me the "art" of creative recycling. She used to embarrass me by pulling over to pull an old piece of furniture or oddity out of someone's trash and then refurbishing or remaking the piece, but I admit that as an adult I've been guilty of the same thing! Now I've taken this genius gene and am using it for jewelry making. Paper Bead making started as a way for me to do something creative while watching tv. Now I think I love it more that watching my favorite shows! I love recycling vintage fabrics or used denims into quaint little bags or repurposing vintage or old costume jewelry into something new and unique. |
