Introduction	Jamila Puentes has been dancing salsa/ mambo for ten years. She began dancing with Heidi and Procopio Serrano in Greenville, NC, as a college student. After graduation she moved to the Triangle where she began dancing with Director and Instructor Norberto ‘Betto’ Herrera of Mambo Dinamico Dance Company in 2006. She has been on the Student and Pro Performance teams for 5 years with Mambo Dinamico and has been teaching both styles of salsa ON 1 and On 2 for eight years in all. In addition, Jamila also had the opportunity from 2007 to 2009, to dance with team Femme Finesse under the Owner and Director Leah Patterson. It was with Femme Finesse where Jamila gained International status. Salsa is Jamila's Purpose and Passion as well as seeing her students grow and DANCE!
Interests	Reading, Teaching, Blogging, and Praising God.
Favorite movies	Love Jones, Dance With Me, Havana Nights, You Got Served, and Center Stage.
Favorite music	Salsa, Gospel, and Reggae.
Favorite books	Mambo Peligroso, Salsa Talk, and Blues Dancing. Ideal Wife, Samson, Jezebel, basically all of Jacquelin Thomas' books.
