| Introduction | Hello, my name is John Downey. I joined the EPSRC-SFI Centre for Doctoral Training in Transformative Pharmaceutical Technologies as a PhD student of the SSPC in 2020. I'm currently conducting research at the School of Pharmacy UCC for my PhD in Pharmaceutics. My project investigates the effect of different material properties on protein/peptide adsorption behavior and the consequent impact on protein functional behavior and stability. I am also examining formulation design to mitigate the risk of protein adsorption to manufacturing equipment and packaging materials. |
