IntroductionFrom 1969-1973 I hitch-hiked nearly 10,000 miles! I spent hundreds of hours standing along the highway between Rochester, New York (where I attended college) and New Brighton, PA (where I was born and raised)! Have you ever noticed those reflectors that stand along the highway to mark every tenth of a mile? They used to be a rounded 6"by10" piece of metal atop a 5' metal post. When I was young, I thought my dad could turn them on and off from inside our car :-) Actually, they were simply reflectors of his headlights; a great help during snow-storms or night-time driving. But I've examined them close-up. They're corroded and pitted with salt marks and dirt. It's hard to imagine that they could reflect anything! Yet they do! I'm like those reflectors! A quick look at me will make you wonder how I could possibly reflect well on God and His goodness. The best I can say is that I'm standing strong - come wind, rain, snow, or dust. I'm holding my ground and reflecting His light in the place where He has placed me! Just trying to shine for Jesus!
