Putting others before me. Making people happy and watching them smile. |
| Favorite Music | I try to listen to music of all genres, and approach new music with an open mind. There is a multitude of great, "undiscovered" music out there, and to find them, all you have to do is listen and explore. However this does not keep me from having my favorites. Some of them are: Boston, Journey, Earth Wind And Fire, Chicago, Chris Rice, Sufjan Stevens, The Avett Brothers, Old Crow Medicine Show, Regina Spektor, Hans Zimmer, James Horner, James Newton-Howard, Harry Gregson-Williams, Gold City, The Statler Bros., Robert W. Smith, Frank Ticheli, Z. Randall Stroope, and many, many more. My favorite genres include beach music, jazz, oldies, rock, alternative, pretty much anything but rap. A note on country music: I grew up with country music, but not as it is today with all the elements of pop thrown in. I like the older style of country music, more like bluegrass or folk music. I saw an infomercial the other day featuring country (which is called "honky tonk") music from the 50's and 60's. Needless to say, they were classic songs that I still enjoy. |
