| Introduction | I retired from my job with The Nature Conservancy in June, 2018, having served as their Yellow Island Steward for nearly 20 years. Since leaving Yellow Island and moving to San Juan Island, i have enjoyed a whole new suite of wildlife on a daily basis. This blog will be about some of those experiences concentrating on birds but also wildlife in general. The title, Bird Recorder hints at my passion for recording bird songs. But birds can be recorder in many ways: sound recordings, photography, video, and the written word come to mind. I hope to incorporate a variety of methods in this blog but concentrating on my first two passions, sound recordings and photogrpaphy. |
