My blogs
| Introduction | My love for photography began in 2015. At the time I was teaching High School English and one of the programs I had implemented in the classroom was called the "Genius Hour". The idea behind this program was taken from Google's "Innovation Time Off." Students were allowed to spend Fridays working on anything they wanted as long as they maintained a C or higher average in the classroom. Many took this opportunity to learn something new. I, wanting to set an example, chose to learn the rules to photography. I bought an entry level DSLR and with the help of social media, You tube, and online workshops/classes, my journey began. I am retired now, but the learning has not stopped nor has the presence of the camera. On the contrary, retirement has guaranteed me more time to do the thing I love the most.....capture the beauty around me. |
