Introduction Roberta Mikles, BA, RN, is a Patient Safety Advocate with a focus on hospitalized patients and those who receive dialysis in an outpatient setting. She is an outspoken, unapologetic advocate bringing forth concerns to health care providers in order to improve delivery of care. She has written articles on dialysis patient safety and infection control in the dialysis setting. Advocates4QualitySafePatient Care - a group of patients, family members and health care professionals who strive to improve the existing delivery of care system. These individuals have experienced retaliation at either an overt or covert level of which contributes to their anonymous status. We, Advocates ask health care professionals - "What kind of care would you want yourself, or a loved one to receive?" "Is this the kind of care you give to your patients?"
