| Introduction | Throughout my life I wear lots of different hats, but for the purposes of this blog I will wear my "teacher hat." Formalities first: I attended Hamilton College where I received a BA in Philosophy; I continued onto becoming a certified Montessori Teacher (3-6 year olds); and most recently, I earned my Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Cambridge College in Cambridge, Massachusetts." I have taught in both private Montessori schools and Montessori programs, including in a pilot program within the Cambridge, Massachusetts public schools, which I helped to pioneer. In Vermont, I have had two long-term substitute positions in kindergarten classrooms and served as a daily substitute in classrooms in grades k-5. Fun stuff next: The educator in me is constantly evolving; I am always trying to exude that passion for knowledge and discovery that I hope to elicit from my students; I am ever thankful for the opportunity to work with and learn from my students and co-workers. |
